S2000 Events

8/18/08 NHMS with SCDA Track Day 6

Turn 3 chasing the GT40! Which I kept up with from 3-12 (until we hit the front straight) ;) :D

Great track day! We had 5 S2000s on hand :) Me, one instructor, and 3 first timers including my friend Mike from MA. Hopefully another track addict after today ;) I did 2 sessions with instructor John (he was also my first instructor there 2 years ago), then 2 solo runs.

I also rode with 3 different instructors including guys with a Boxster, S and for the last run in a turbo track spec Miata... it was VERY fast, and had racing seats and harness - awesome ride! We actually got some really close action with 2 other Miatas in a couple turns, loads of fun! Then we passed everyone and it was not as exciting :)

Mike got a ride in my friend's Exige that I was supposed to get (mad)! I told owner Penn he had to be my instructor at Watkins Glen in October so I could get a ride :) His wife Emily only passed me ONCE today in 4 sessions! I think I am getting faster ;) Had fun keeping up with a GT 40 again for one lap, then we got to front straight and he was gone LOL!

This was #6 at NH, 9th overall.
